My favorite things about the program are
the different techniques of law enforcement we are taught and when we learn and practice real life, worse-case scenarios.
I joined this post because I was interested in working in the law enforcement field and now that I’ve been in it for
a while I am convinced this is the career path for me. I'm looking into becoming a police officer with the Monroe Police Department
for a few years to gain experience then either become a Detective in the Criminal Investigations Bureau or join the FBI.

My favorite thing about the Explorers is being able to
work along side of the Monroe Police officers. I joined the explorers because a friend told that it was
really fun and because it is a good way to gain information on police officers. I want to either become a SWAT officer
or become a FBI agent.

My favorite things about the program are learning
about law enforcement and the scenarios that we practice. I joined this post after being invited by Chief Haulk through Piedmont
High School. After the “first nighter”, I knew that the MPD
Explorers was the perfect program for me. I am now attending the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where
I am majoring in the field of Criminal Justice. After graduating, I plan to become a Monroe Police Officer and later on either
become a narcotics Detective or become a Special Agent with the FBI.
