Survival Weekend consists of competitive events for Explorers all around the state from different police departments. Some events include: Felony Vehicle Stops, Sit Ups in a minute, Push Ups in a minute, Volleyball, Tug-A-War, Piggy Back Races, and the Three-Mile Cross Country Run. First place through third place are awarded with medals and the other positions are mailed certificates.

Survival Weekend is held at the B.S.A. Camp Grimes in Rutherford County, N.C. This event occurs during the last weekend of October. Explorers usually camp out in tents or in cabins.
